Public Print Viewing - First Thursday Arts Walk

United States National Parks from the Keystone-Mast Collection

Stop by the Culver Center of the Arts any time between 6-8 PM on March 1 for a public print viewing of select historic images of U.S. National Parks. No reservations necessary. The print viewing table is arranged for museum goers to casually walk up and look at the images. Museum staff will be present to lend insight and answer inquiries.



The Keystone-Mast Collection is a virtual encyclopedic visual document of the world between the late-nineteenth and mid-twentieth centuries, as photographed stereoscopically (three-dimensional). To mark the vernal equinox occurring in the month of March, UCR ARTSblock will feature select images of National Parks across the western states as captured by stereoscopic photographers. Majestic water landscapes at Grand Canyon (Arizona), Yellowstone (Wyoming), and Yosemite (California) are the subject of focus as a way to acknowledge the current worldwide issue of water conservation and the importance of preserving nature and wildlife.
