The most recent addition to UCR/CMP's Permanent Collection Gallery is a selection of five original 1970s photographs by William Clift. These finely crafted black and white compositions are from Clift's work for COURTHOUSE, a Bicentennial project that was commissioned by Joseph E. Seagram & Sons, Inc. Clift is one twenty-four photographers that were marshaled to create a comprehensive photographic record of American court houses. The entire archive of 1,100 photographs is currently housed within the Library of Congress.
